Can you really have too many crystals?
Ever? I personally don’t think so… I love rocks and crystals. There is something uplifting and exhilarating about them, each and every one of them. There are the quartz crystals, and the amethyst crystals, and the citrine crystals, and the …
And not all pretty rocks are crystals either. There are some gorgeous agates and jasper’s and jade’s.
Each one has it’s own unique properties and qualities. Stones and crystals are made up of certain common materials, yet enough variables to make each of them different. Take, for example the differences between the smooth cool bird’s egg blue of the turquoise and the deep northern sky blue of the lapis stones above. Each one is unique in it’s own way and who can say one is more beautiful than the other? Of coarse there are different uses for each of these stones, although each is considered a semi precious stone and both are often used in jewelry making. So what are the differences, you ask?
“Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, healing to the eye, as if carved from an azure heaven and slipped to earth” according to the crystal-encyclopedia.

Lapis Lazuli or lapis for short, is a deep blue semi-precious stone prized since antiquity for its intense color.
Lapis Lazuli is a standout amongst the most looked for stones being used since man’s history started. Its profound, divine blue remains the image of sovereignty and honor, divine beings and force, soul and vision. It is a general image of knowledge and truth.
In antiquated times Lapis Lazuli was most profoundly respected in light of its lovely shading and the important ultramarine color dye got from it. Its name originates from the Latin lapis, “stone,” and the Persian lazhuward, “blue.” It is rock framed by various minerals, for the most part Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to illustrious blue with gold specks (pyrites). Lower-grade Lapis is lighter blue with more white than gold bits, and is some of the time called denim Lapis.
